Who is Money3 Corporation?

Money3 Corporation Limited (ASX: MNY, “Money3” or the “Company” or the “Group”), is an Australian listed vehicle finance company trading under various brands in Australia and New Zealand. The Group currently trades in Australia as Money3 and Automotive Financial Services (AFS), while in New Zealand we trade under the GoCar Finance brand.

What happened to Holden Financial Services?

In February 2021, General Motors Financial Company Inc sold their Australian operation, GMF Australia Pty Ltd ABN 52 622 566 447 with Australia Credit License 507256 (which does business under the name Holden Financial Services) to Money3 Corporation Limited. From February 2021, Money3 is transferring the Holden Financial Services customers and their associated loans to be managed by our group's HFS Support Team.

What do I need to do?

The good news is that you don't need to do anything. Your loan repayments will continue as per your agreement with Holden Financial Services until your loan has been paid in full. Will the terms of my current loan change?

No. Your loan terms and conditions have not been affected by this change.

Will my credit rating be affected?

No, your credit rating will not be affected by this change.

Can I manage my loan online?

Unfortunately, no, the Holden Members Area is no longer supported. However, our HFS Support Team at Money3 will be happy to help with any queries you may have about your loan, including your outstanding balance, and account with us. See the 'Contact Us' tab above for more details.

Will my repayments change?

No, your repayments will continue as normal.

How will my repayments be recorded on my bank statements?

Your repayment details recorded in your account and on your bank statements will not change and your loan will be repaid from the same bank account as before unless you advise us otherwise.

Can I get a new loan at a good rate?

Yes, if your financial status has not changed and you have made all your loan repayments on time. Subject to terms, we will be happy to offer you a new loan at a competitive rate1 via our Automotive Financial Services brand.

What other kinds of loans are available?

The Group specialises in vehicle finance up to $100,000 financing cars, bikes, campervans, boats and many other vehicles. We also offer car repair loans as well as a range of personal loans from holiday, medical and emergency loans up to $12,0001.

Is my loan account affected by General Motor’s decision to retire the Holden brand in Australia and New Zealand?

No, you can continue with your loan and your terms & conditions and scheduled loan repayments are unchanged.

Will you still honour the Holden Guaranteed Value (HGV) amount at the end of my loan term?

Yes, this is unchanged. The HGV amount is subject to you keeping and returning your vehicle in an acceptable condition in accordance with the Fair Wear and Tear guidelines. The HGV amount may be reduced, if you do not keep your vehicle in an acceptable condition and/or you exceed your nominated kilometre allowance

Do I still need to abide by the maximum kilometrage usage I selected for my HGV loan?

Yes, this is unchanged. An excess kilometre charge will be applied for each kilometre you travel above your nominated kilometre allowance in your loan contract.

What is a Holden Guaranteed Value?

The Holden Guaranteed Value gives you the option to return your Holden to Holden Financial Services (HFS) - which is now owned by Money3 - at the end of your loan term. If you elect to exercise that option at the end of your loan, HFS will purchase your Holden at an agreed price, as determined by contract at the beginning of your loan and set out in your loan agreement, subject to Fair Wear and Tear requirements and agreed kilometres being met.

At the end of your loan term you can decide to:

  • Keep your Holden by paying the outstanding loan balance (which will be the same as the guaranteed value amount, provided that you also meet the relevant payment obligations under your contract); or
  • Return the vehicle to HFS with no more to pay.

How is the guaranteed value amount calculated?

The guaranteed value amount is determined by us by referencing automotive industry valuation guides taking into consideration the following:

  • a vehicle completing a pre nominated annual number of kilometres
  • the age of the vehicle at the end of the loan term; and
  • subject to the vehicle meeting Fair Wear and Tear requirements.

Does the guaranteed value amount equal the expected market value at the end of the loan term?

The guaranteed value amount does not represent the likely market value of the vehicle at the end of your loan term. It does represent the minimum value of the vehicle that will be credited toward your final loan repayment, if you choose to return the vehicle to us at the end of the loan term and is subject to fair wear and tear requirements and agreed kilometres being met.

What is Fair Wear and Tear?

The Fair Wear and Tear guidelines represent the acceptable condition of your Holden at the end of the loan term, if you don't want to impact your guaranteed value amount. So you know what's expected in caring for your Holden during your loan term and understanding your responsibilities regarding the acceptable condition of your Holden, in case you wish to return your vehicle to us.

What are my obligations if I want to return my vehicle and it does not meet the Fair Wear and Tear Guidelines?

The guaranteed value amount may be reduced, and you will be liable for any loan agreement deficit if you exceed the nominated kilometre allowance and/or the vehicle is not in an acceptable condition in accordance with the Fair Wear and Tear guidelines.

  • Ensure your Holden is regularly serviced in accordance with Holden’s vehicle service schedule.
  • Consider periodical wheel alignment to ensure tyre safety and even tread wear.
  • General day-to-day maintenance such as regularly checking fluid levels, monitor tyre pressure and tread depth.
  • Any irregular noises or change in performance must be investigated immediately – refer to your Holden Dealership for assistance.
  • Regularly clean your Holden including the interior upholstery and trim.
  • Remove promptly any tree/bird droppings to prevent permanent damage to exterior paintwork.
  • Do not exceed your Holden’s towing capacity.
  • Regularly check your Holden to identify any damage.

Can I keep my Holden?

Yes, simply pay out the guaranteed value amount or refinance the outstanding balance of the loan into a new loan. Money3 understands some customers are concerned about retaining their vehicle at the end of the loan term and would be delighted to offer a customer a new loan where the customer owns the vehicle at the end of the term. To ease the transition Money3 will waive any application and early termination fees for customers that choose to refinance their HFS loan early.*

Can I sell my Holden privately?

Yes, you will have to pay out the loan agreement in the process. Please contact our customer care team to assist.
